My Story
I've always had a love for creating stories. From an early age, I sought to create stories for my favourite childhood heroes, such as Doctor Who, James Bond, Spider-Man, and Batman. I even tried to write my own James Bond book, called Now or Never, when I was 10. I never managed to complete that project, thank God! Although I'm sure it would've made a brilliant film, it taught me about how NOT to write a story, and that a chapter should be more than 1 page long! Coming up with ideas but never seeing fully through to the end kind of sums up my early days as a writer. But because I was also a sporty teenager who enjoyed video games and procrastination, I think I can forgive myself.
This all changed in January 2014 when I came up with the idea for Brothers of the West whilst playing Red Dead Redemption on my Xbox. I was thinking about how to put together another James Bond story, and in Red Dead Redemption, I'd reached a particular part of the map called Solomon's Folly. My character was looking towards the sunset disappearing behind the mountains.
And that's when it hit me. The greatest question I will ever ask myself; "Should I write a Western?" The answer immediately became; "Yeah, I'm going to write a Western. A Western set in a fictional Western world."
I have been working on Brothers of the West ever since. This idea has expanded from being a single story, to a trilogy, then to two trilogies, and then to two trilogies that will have multiple spin-offs.

I'm also a writer of short stories, and I've written across multiple genres in the past, but now my focus is on Western fiction. I just see the Western genre as a massive sandbox of limitless possibilities and enthralling stories. If you don't believe me, then read books like True Grit, No Country for Old Men, and Blood Meridian, and you'll soon change your mind.
I can't wait to bring you more stories in the future. It is the honour of my life to be an author, and I will always strive to make these stories the best they can possibly be. That is what you all deserve, as readers and as fellow creators.
